Like a Fine, Agéd Cheese: After 15 Years, The Monthly Spew Reeks (With Some Nutty Undertones)

15 years ago this month, the Monthly Spew was, as we all are, spanked into a cold, cruel, and indifferent existence, itself a wretched, helpless thing whose very life is tied irrevocably to that of its creators, desperate to be loved.

At the time, I doubt any of us supposed that such a thing would last a year, 2 years, or even any amount of time, really. It was a thing that existed for the joy of it. It was something we were going to do because it meant something to us. It was our baby. And, like most babies, it disappeared after a couple years only to resurface 15 yrs later on the Internet.

I doubt any of us will make any money at this, and I doubt any of us care. It’s just something we do. And if we’re still doing it another 15 years from now, please, kill us.
