Day 13:  Your Favorite Christmas Hymn

Josh:  Oh Holy Night

Like I said in a previous installment, most hymns don’t really interest me any more. Oh Holy Night is an exception.  The tune was based off of a French poem written by an anticlerical atheist who was hired to write it to celebrate the church’s new organ.  Hoo-rah!  I just love the dynamic between the lovely calm verses and the exhilaration felt when the chords change. (ie Fall on your knees)
